World Cup Soccer results make happy winners at CILO
19/07/2010 | CILO CityLounge
Although not much of the cheerful optimism remained for the fans of the Orange team of Holland after last Sunday’s final results of the World Cup Soccer, a few people were secretly very happy. Those were the ones who had won prizes in the stakes. Before the World Cup matches started, people could bet on the match results. At CILO City Lounge in the Renaissance Marketplace soccer fans and employees did so with a vengeance. And there were winners!
Points could be assembled by guessing the right scores, the winners of the first rounds, the finalists and the champion. First prize was 75 percent of the stake, second was 25% and third was lunch for two at CILO. Rudmer van de Hoest had the best guesses, while Alfons Linders did amazingly well too: he came second. Third place was for John Kamermans. Ardy Heutz got the consolation prize: French fries at Frietuurtje in the Paseo Herencia mall.
The three weeks of World Cup mania were celebrated in great CILO-style and many regulars could be found during the matches, watching the big screen and the small tv’s inside as well as outside the marina restaurant. |
